micro-sketch
Hi!
This is my printable version of the classic etch-a-sketch / telesketch. A kind of plotter-toy.
You can draw what you imagine rotating the X-Y knobs.
It works great with a marker or a pen.
The drawing area it's 15x10cms aprox.
The X-axis acts moving the complete paper, inspired in the Prusa Y-axis (moving all bed)
It has many parts and can print mostly without supports (i hate supports)
I've arrange the parts in 6 files according to impression parameters and print order.
Included a PDF with assemblig instructions and some tips.
Included a ZIP file with al the STL files for each part.
Also included the 123D Design files.
See the Print Settings.
And last: Sorry if my english it's not good, i'm from spain and have a bad grammar writting in english.
UPDATE!! The ZIP file 'all_parts_separated_update.zip now contains the STL's with all the pieces 'merged' (old files may cause problems with some slicing software').
Redownload if you have problems with separated parts in the STL's
UPDATE 18-Sept-2016: Youtube video ScienceMadeFunner published a great video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JM1SavDy5Rc ) printing, assembling and playing with MicroSketch. Check it out!

Have fun!!
Ender-5 Bed Strain Relief
Strain relief for the Ender 5 heat bed wires.
Mounted to the carriage using M4x12 or M3x12 + nut.
23.2.2019 Version 2
To avoid too much bending the wires if you level up and down higher than normal, i made some changes:
- 5mm more distance from bed.
- Larger radius.
- Only one cable tie.
More than +-5mm should now be possible without problems.
Anet A8 Adjustable bearing holder for Igus Drylin bearings
My igus bearings had play in them. So to compress the bearing, I remixed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1172838 file 03 using Tinkercad.
Add 2 x M4 bolts 15mm long.
Install your igus bearing inside, mount on the machine then carefully and slowly tighten to remove the play. But dont go too tight.
Only works for the x carriage.
This is very fiddly to get right so the extruder mount moves nice and loose. Take your time.
I accept no responsibilities for ruined prints, snapped belts, burnt out motors or pcb's, loss of temper or dollies thrown out of the pram whilst trying to adjust.
#3DBenchy - The jolly 3D printing torture-test by CreativeTools.se
#3DBenchy is a 3D model designed by us at CreativeTools specifically for testing and benchmarking 3D printers. It is a small recognisable object that you can download for free, make and share.
It is designed to 3D-print quickly and be a fun tool for calibrating your 3D printer. There is a single-part STL file for 3D printing the boat in one material, and a multi-part STL assembly to suitable for multi-material/printhead 3D printing.
Documenting the results
You can use the Smartphone Photo Studio for 3DBenchy to easily take photos and share the results of your 3D print. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1085472
Makes
- If you desire, please take pictures and post them here as makes with a short description of your 3D-print settings. For more information about 3D-print settings please read this post.

XYZ 20mm Calibration Cube
This is a simple calibration test cube for your 3D printer with X, Y & Z written on the axis.
To further calibrate your 3D printer print one out and you can then measure this models dimensions against the expected dimensions.
Once this is done you are able, if your 3D printer allows it, to adjust your Steps per mm in your printers firmware.
if:
e= expected dimension
o = observed dimension
s = current number of steps per mm
then:
(e/o) x s = your new number of steps per mm
In part though this is the result of a guide on how to make your own 3D printer calibration cube using Freecad ( https://www.idig3dprinting.co.uk/news/how-to-guides/create-a-3d-printer-calibration-cube-in-freecad/ )
So why not have a go at making your own!

It works! It finally works!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9VdXtTlhCU
This revision includes minor tweaks which necessitated breaking it into 4 parts. Thank you nycdesigner, tbuser, and landru for your helpful suggestion, guidance, and sticking with me til the end.
The recorder is one of the oldest woodwind instruments. In the hands of an experienced player it creates a sound synonymous with Renaissance music. Often used in elementary music classes because of it's ease of operation. With 3D printing everyone can have one of their own to make beautiful music on... or wailing screeches if they never got past "hot crossed buns".
Wearable Arc Reactor
A printable, wearable arc reactor based on the Mark I movie version.
There are already some great arc reactors on here, but I wanted to take my own crack at it.
Update: I increased the clearance of the top ring, should be easier to assemble now. Also added source files.
Update: I uploaded the 9V battery holder you see in the pictures due to multiple requests, as a warning it is not an optimized part but a quick design to work with the switch I had on hand. I am sure there are better designs out there on Thingiverse if you look around.

Schaf-Toilettenrollenhalter / Sheep toilet roll holder
Eine lustige Möglichkeit auf der Toilette etwas für Ordnung zu sorgen und gleichzeitig einen Eye-catcher zu haben...
Viel Spaß auf dem Klo... :)
A funy way to keep things tidy in the toilet and have an eye-catcher at the same time...
Have fun on the toilet… :)
Update 22. Jun 2019:
I have made an adjustment to the head of the sheep to make the attachment of the other parts more stable.
Happy printing :)
Shaun the Sheep says hello ;)
Update 29. Jun 2019:
For smaller printers the files small_printer_1 and small_printer_2 were added! Print and glue together! For the other side simply mirror the print object in the slicer.
